About Us

River Valley Landscapes was formed by Brad Groff and Doug Caldwell in 1991. Their first job was completed during their spring break senior year. From the start, they were committed to make a difference in the landscape industry. Brad and Doug wanted to give the consumer an alternative to what others were offering. In 2000 River Valley Organics was formed. This revolutionized how mulching was done in south central PA. A year later, Doug introduced Filtrexx erosion control solution to Pennsylvania. To this day, River Valley Organics installs the most Filtrexx products in the world and has been recognized both locally and nationally for its environmental efforts.

River Valley Landscapes has grown into one of the most respected Design Build companies in PA. They were the most award winning company at the 2009, 2010, and 2011 PA Landscape and Nursery Conferences. Brad is no longer satisfied with only offering great service to his clients, but sees a much bigger vision. River Valley is constantly working on creating a culture that goes beyond landscaping.

River Valley’s staff has been actively volunteering in the industry and community. The last couple years we have talked and proctored to college and high school students. Brad has presented at state conferences to help businesses succeed.
