WBCO Luncheon: ATHENA Leadership Luncheon
This year's ATHENA Leadership Luncheon will focus on the characteristics of "Courageous Acts."
The ATHENA Model describes the Courageous Acts quality as "Standing up and standing firm in the face of fear. Taking risks to speak the truth or challenge the way things have always been done."
2019 ATHENA Award recipient, Lyn Bergdoll who will moderate a panel of former ATHENA Award recipients which will include Dr. Deborah McMillan, Lea Nadler and Dianne Moore who will share each of their stories with us.
This topic invites previous ATHENA Award recipients to share personal and / or professional moments in their life where a difficult or non-traditional decision was made.
The ATHENA Leadership Award was inspired by the goddess of Greek mythology known for her strength, courage, wisdom and enlightenment - qualities embodied in the ATHENA Leadership Model. The Award is unique in both scope - local, national and international - and the ATHENA mission upon which it is based.
The WBCO (Women's Business Center Organization) is an affiliate of the York County Economic Alliance whose mission is to provide opportunities for professional growth through education, mentorship, and advocacy for women to thrive in York County.
