SUMMARY OF BOROUGH OF HANOVER COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 9.25.24
The following are the highlights of the Borough Council’s September meeting held on September 25, 2024. BOROUGH COUNCIL ACTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: PENSION OBLIGATIONS: Approval was granted for the Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) for the 2025 Pension Contributions. BOROUGH OF HANOVER TO HOST PUBLIC MEETING ON 2025 BUDGET
The Borough of Hanover in Hanover, Pa., York County, will hold its annual budget workshop on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the Borough Council chambers located in the lower level of the Administrative Building at 44 Frederick Street, Hanover. The meeting is open to the public, and all interested citizens are invited to attend. HANOVER BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT AWARDED JAG GRANT
The Hanover Borough Police Department has been awarded a $229,227 Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) 2024 / 2025 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) for the purchase of nineteen body worn cameras (BWC), five mobile video records (MVR) and associated technology, replacing the department’s outdated equipment. BWC’s, which are worn on the upper torso of officers to capture incidents from the forward-facing officer’s perspective, were implemented by Borough Police in 2016.
BOROUGH OF HANOVER TO HOST INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON CAPITAL
The community of the Borough of Hanover and all interested parties are invited to attend an informational meeting concerning the 33 & 44 Frederick Street capital building project. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Borough of Hanover Council chambers on the lower level of the Borough’s current administrative building located at 44 Frederick Street.
