York College of PA Names Glenn Miller VP for Advancement
York College of Pennsylvania has appointed Glenn Miller, former Senior Director of Philanthropy, as its next Vice President for Advancement as of June 1.
Miller brings to the position more than 20 years of experience in senior administrative positions in higher education and health care. Previous roles include Vice President for Development and Foundation President of Philadelphia Lutheran Seminary, Vice President for External Relations at Carthage College, and Vice President for Philanthropy and Foundation President of SpiriTrust Lutheran. He has led comprehensive fundraising programs and major capital campaigns and most recently contributed significantly to York College’s EVOLVE campaign. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of the College’s Advancement work, including fundraising, alumni
relations, and community relations.
“Glenn Miller’s excellent work on behalf of numerous organizations, including York College, positions him well as our next Vice President for Advancement,” said President Thomas Burns. “He also comes to this position as a trusted servant leader who has established meaningful relationships–personally and professionally–throughout the York area and beyond.”
Miller is deeply involved as a leader in the York community. He is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of York, and currently serves on the York Rotary Foundation board. He is Chair of the Board of RabbitCares, the charitable arm of Rabbit Transit, as well as a board member and committee chair of the York County History Center and the York Symphony Orchestra. He holds degrees in music, religion/philosophy and divinity from Shenandoah University and the United Lutheran Seminary.
“York College has been part of my life in one way or another for my nearly four decades in the community,” said Miller. “The opportunity to serve the College on staff these past five years has been a joy, and I am truly humbled at having been asked by President Burns to now serve as Vice President.”
