The YMCA of the Roses Celebrates Achievements at Annual Meeting

YMCA of the Roses hosted its annual meeting on June 17, celebrating a year of accomplishments and honoring individuals whose dedication has made a significant impact on the organization’s mission.
 
The YMCA honored outstanding volunteers who have selflessly contributed their time, skills, and passion. Their efforts have been instrumental in advancing our programs and initiatives, directly impacting the lives of those we serve. In addition, the Y proudly acknowledged the commitment and hard work of its dedicated staff members, celebrating significant anniversaries ranging from five to 20 years of service.
 
Recognizing exceptional dedication, the YMCA of the Roses honored William Shipley and posthumously Grant Hummer with Lifetime of Service Awards. Their profound commitment has profoundly shaped our organization's legacy, leaving an enduring impact on our mission and inspiring future generations.
 
The YMCA bid farewell to outgoing board members, Dave Gruno, Larry Kouma, Delma Rivera-Lytle, and Board Chair Gina Kruper, who have provided invaluable guidance and leadership. They have steered the Y through successful initiatives and strategic decisions. At the same time, nominations were announced for new board members, Dana Alwine, Mike Bunn, Shakia Martin, Anthony Moore, Wade Williams, and Bob Wood, who will continue to drive our mission forward with fresh perspectives and expertise.
 
CEO and President, Larry Richardson expressed heartfelt gratitude to our volunteers, board members, and staff, whose collective efforts and commitment are the cornerstone of YMCA of the Roses’ success. "Board members, staff, and volunteers drive our mission forward, making a profound impact on the communities we serve through their dedication and commitment," he added.

Established in November of 2021, the YMCA of the Roses is the result of a merger between the YMCA of York and York County and the Lancaster Family YMCA.
