State award celebrates CPC educator

Community Progress Council is pleased to celebrate an extraordinary achievement and recognize an outstanding team member – Assistant Education Manager Natalie Dragan.

Natalie was honored at the recent Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP) conference during the second annual CAAPtivating Excellence Awards, with the CAAP Impactful Educator Award.

As the Assistant Education Manager for Community Progress Council, Natalie oversees the Teacher Training Program. She is committed to the annual cohort of teacher aides, encouraging, coaching, and inspiring them to pursue their child development associate credential and gain the classroom experience necessary to advance.

The CAAPtivating Excellence Awards were created to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the PA Community Action Network. The awards ceremony, held on October 23, 2024, at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, recognized individuals in the Pennsylvania Community Action Network for their excellence, dedication, and hard work in the fight against poverty.

“If you've interacted with Natalie, it's easy to see why participants quickly come to trust that she has their best interests at heart,” said Robin Rohrbaugh, President/CEO, Community Progress Council. “Her engaging and inspiring presence is a motivator even when challenges arise. Her leadership in the Teacher Training Program and for Community Progress Council overall makes her a perfect fit for the CAAP Impactful Educator Award, and we're so proud to celebrate her!”
