Attorney Beth J. Kern Elected to Shareholder
York, PA - CGA Law Firm is pleased to announce that Attorney Beth J. Kern has been unanimously elected as a Shareholder. Beth has quickly established herself as an integral member of CGA Law Firm, contributing her expertise to the Municipal, Business, Employment, Real Estate, and Estate Planning Practice Groups.
"I am extremely excited that Beth will now be a Shareholder at CGA. Beth has demonstrated that she is able to effectively work with our clients in her areas of expertise to provide exceptional legal advice and be a trusted counselor. In addition, Beth has been willing to use her expertise to assist the Firm when called upon. Whether it be client representation or assisting the Firm, Beth simply steps up, tackles the issues, and delivers results," states Craig S. Sharnetzka, President of CGA Law Firm.
Beth earned her Juris Doctorate from Widener University Commonwealth Law School, and she maintains two professional human resources certifications (PHR from HRCI and SHRM-CP from SHRM). Prior to practicing law, she amassed over twelve years of professional experience, including eight years at Flagger Force® as a Human Resources professional. Beth believes that her professional experience enables her to bring a unique blend of business acumen and legal expertise to her clients, providing practical advice on day-to-day business and employment law matters and developing effective organizational strategies.
Jeffrey L. Rehmeyer II, Shareholder at CGA Law Firm, added, "Our Firm had a relationship with Beth prior to her decision to attend law school. At that time, she was professional, insightful, and well-spoken. Beth went on to perform superbly at law school. Since joining the Firm as an attorney, she has been exceedingly diligent and skilled in her representation of a variety of clients, including businesses and municipalities. Beth is able to focus both her extensive experience and her legal education to provide clients with optimal advice upon which they can rely and succeed."
As Co-Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, Beth's practice includes representing individuals and businesses that are buying or selling real estate, handling both residential and commercial real estate transactions. She also provides legal services to businesses and individuals that are buying or selling business assets, stock, or membership interest, and assists them with business formations, contract negotiations, and general counsel. Her practice naturally extends to employment law, where she provides valuable guidance to employers in both private and public sectors. Beth is a key member of the Municipal Practice Group representing a variety of municipalities including, boroughs, townships, zoning hearing boards, and municipal authorities.
Rehmeyer further commented, "In addition to being an extraordinary attorney, Beth has also emerged as a leader at the Firm, becoming involved with the Human Resources Committee and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. Beth has already made a tremendous impact on CGA and her clients. I am excited about Beth's future as she transitions to shareholder status."
Beth is also committed to community service and regularly volunteers her time to the Wills for Heroes program in both Dauphin and York County. In 2023 she was recognized for her pro bono work by the York County Bar Foundation, receiving a Pro Bono Award. She will join the board of directors for the Horn Farm Center beginning in 2025.
