Members Celebrate Member Benefit Day!

York, PA – On Thursday, October 15, 2026, First Capital Federal Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day by hosting its annual Member Benefit Day across its branches. Members enjoyed complimentary lunch, giveaways, and opportunities to win prizes throughout the day.
In addition to the festivities, First Capital offered free document shredding, electronics recycling, and a blood drive at its West York branch. The Pennsylvania Treasury also returned for the second consecutive year, helping members find more than $20,000 in unclaimed property.
"Member Benefit Day is one of our favorite opportunities to show our members that we're more than just a financial institution," said Tara Houser Minetos, Senior Vice President of Marketing at First Capital Federal Credit Union. "It's about putting our People Helping People philosophy into action and showing our members how much we appreciate their trust and support. We're grateful for the relationships we've built with our members and love having the opportunity to give back to them."
First Capital also held a candy bar fundraiser at all branches to benefit the Children's Aid Society, giving members another opportunity to support a local organization while celebrating the credit union difference.
The day brought together members and employees for an afternoon of appreciation, community involvement, and celebration, reflecting First Capital's continued commitment to serving its members beyond their financial needs.
