First Capital FCU Employees Give Back
During Employee Enrichment Day!

York, PA – On Monday, October 12, 2026, First Capital Federal Credit Union employees stepped away from their daily routines to participate in Employee Enrichment Day, a day focused on giving back to the community, strengthening teamwork, and connecting with fellow employees.
The day began at the York County Food Bank, where employees worked together to assemble boxes of food for local individuals and families facing food insecurity. Through their volunteer efforts, employees helped support the Food Bank's mission of providing access to nutritious food throughout York County.
"Employee Enrichment Day is a great opportunity for our staff to come together and put our People Helping People philosophy into action," said Sue DeStephano, President/CEO at First Capital Federal Credit Union. "Working at the Food Bank was also a great team-building experience. It reminded us that every role matters and that when everyone contributes, no matter how big or small, we can accomplish something meaningful together."
Following their volunteer efforts, employees enjoyed lunch, giveaways, and a kindness rock painting activity as an extension of the credit union's CU Kind Day celebration. Employees decorated rocks with colorful designs and positive messages, which were then placed throughout York County to spread kindness and encouragement.
The day concluded with a special presentation from Building Bridges for Brianna, the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation's third-quarter nonprofit partner. Representatives from the organization spoke with employees about suicide prevention and awareness. Following the presentation, First Capital presented Building Bridges for Brianna with a $2,000 donation raised through its September candy bar fundraiser and "You Matter" Spirit Day, during which employees made donations and wore purple, teal, or clothing featuring messages of kindness.
Through Employee Enrichment Day, First Capital reinforced its commitment to making a difference in the community while providing employees with opportunities to connect, learn, and give back.
