Leadership York Welcomes New Fund Development Specialist

Leadership York is pleased to announce that Haley Hernandez has joined the organization’s staff, bringing her extensive experience in membership management, event coordination, and community engagement to her new role. Haley officially joined the team in December 2024 and is eager to help grow the organization’s footprint and foster deeper connections within York County.
A proud Hanoverian, Haley, was born and raised in York County. She graduated from Juniata College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and business management. Her professional background includes five years at the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce, where she managed membership and events, as well as several years in sales. Haley’s return to the nonprofit world reflects her passion for helping individuals connect with their communities and discover their potential.
Outside of work, Haley enjoys staying active, exploring true crime podcasts and documentaries, cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals, and spending time with her husband, Cole. Together, they love discovering new places together.
“I am thrilled to join Leadership York and contribute to its mission of empowering individuals and organizations to make a difference in York County,” Haley shared. “I’m excited to dive into volunteerism and collaborate with others to make our community an even better place to live, work, and play.”

Leadership York’s mission is to train, connect, and inspire individuals to serve the York community in leadership positions. The organization was founded in 1978 and boasts over 4,500 graduates from its six programs. Those graduates provide leadership to more than 250 nonprofit organizations and serve thousands of constituents in state and local government.
