Community Progress Council invites neighbors to

National Night Out block party

York, Pennsylvania – July 27, 2026

WHAT: Community Progress Council invites neighbors to join us for a block party to celebrate National Night

Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Attendees will enjoy free food and drinks, entertainment and a live DJ, giveaways, community vendors, games

and prizes, including free water from the Pennsylvania American Water truck, a kids’ karate area and parkour

course from Empower Martial Arts Hanover, and a drum circle led by instructors from the SHINE Foundation.

Thank you to sponsor AmeriHealth Caritas Pennsylvania for their support to make this event possible, which

typically attracts 250-300 attendees.

Confirmed community partners include Bell Socialization, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Home of York,

Confronting Racism Coalition, Delta Sigma Theta, the Elks Lodge, Family First Health, Habitat for Humanity,

Heidelberg UCC, Keystone Kidspace, MidPenn Legal Services, rabbittransit, Rep Carol Hill Evans, Salvation

Army, Sen. Dawn Keefer, Uptown Rotary Club, York County Food Bank, York County Libraries, York Revolution,

York Fresh Food Farms and more.
