Alan Ennis, Tax Manager at Brown Plus, Receives 2025 Young Leader Award from the Pennsylvania Instit

Alan Ennis, CPA, MBA, Tax Manager at Brown Plus, was recently named a recipient of the 2025 Young Leader Awards by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). The Young Leader Awards annually recognize PICPA members under the age of 40 who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to the accounting profession through the PICPA or community service.

Alan has over seven years of experience providing tailored tax strategies to help businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals. He specializes in serving S corporations, partnerships and individuals, and he has experience working with clients across numerous industries, including construction, dealerships and healthcare. 
 
In addition to his client service role, Alan has also been deeply involved in internal leadership roles at Brown Plus. He served as a member of the Brown Plus Emerging Professionals (BEP) Group Steering Committee for two years. Alan also serves on the Brown Plus Cultural Leadership Team (CLT), focusing on fostering a positive workplace culture. He is looked upon as a CPA exam advisor at the Firm and has mentored several associates, helping them navigate the CPA exam process. Additionally, Alan played a key role in leading the Brown Plus Internship Program Committee, supporting interns in achieving extraordinary outcomes.
 
Alan also serves as the current PICPA Firm Ambassador for Brown Plus, serving as a dynamic liaison to facilitate communication and collaboration between the Firm and the wider public accounting professional landscape. Alan has served as Brown Plus’ PICPA Firm Ambassador since 2023.
 
Alan holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Shippensburg University.
