Description
Join us for Strengthening Pennsylvania's Economic Competitiveness as we hear from Lisa Riggs, Sr. Managing Director of Economic Growth Strategy and Partnerships with Team PA. Team PA is a non-profit organization that is a statewide entity co-chaired by the Governor and a private sector leader. They are the state’s trusted neutral broker and convener, who couple collaboration with strategic investment of public and private funds to accelerate PA’s economy.
As you may be aware, Governor Shapiro launched the Commonwealth’s first comprehensive economic development strategy in nearly two decades. As part of that announcement, the governor launched a new pilot program called PA SITES (Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites) that will provide $10 million in grant funding to conduct site assessments and prepare them for remediation.
Lisa will provide an update on the advancement of the Commonwealth’s 10-Year Economic Development Strategy and insight into what they see for the economic competitiveness of the Commonwealth. You’ll learn more about the importance of public-private partnerships and where Team PA’s current focus is and how that directly impacts the local and regional economy of York.
The Economics Club Breakfast series offers an informative monthly breakfast and provides attendees the opportunity to network with key business and community leaders. A variety of speakers discuss economic and business updates important to York County.
