Description
York County is safer when we work together. Jamie Noerpel, Director of The York County Safety Collab, works to unite decision-makers, law enforcement, and community members to address violence—especially among youth—through initiatives like cohort building, fundraising, summits, internships, and sports programs. Their coalition includes 17 police departments, the District Attorney's Office, and the Sheriff's Office, fostering trust and unity between law enforcement and the public.
Chief David Lash with Northern York County Police Department will discuss how regionalization of safety services better supports our community. By consolidating resources, multiple townships share efficient, cost-effective police services based on call volume, ensuring quality coverage and community engagement. Officers patrol high-activity areas 24/7, assist with non-crime-related needs, and build strong local relationships.
