Human Trafficking Awareness Event - Shea Rhodes, Esq.

(New Freedom, PA) A Human Trafficking awareness event is coming to Southern York County. The New Freedoms Lions Club is hosting an event Tuesday, October 1, in the New Freedom Community Center located at 150 E. Main Street, New Freedom, 17349. Doors open at 5:30 pm for mingling with various community outreaches, followed by a short screening and guest speaker presentation from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm, and Q&A with a panel of local law, legal, and government representatives from 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Shea M. Rhodes, Esq., Co-founder and Director of Villanova Law’s Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation, is a true expert in this field and will be the guest speaker and moderator. This event is open to teens, and parents are encouraged to bring them. This event will also provide much-needed information for local business, church, and community leaders, as well as the community at large. Human Trafficking is everywhere, including here, and it is important for our communities to be educated about the signs. We are offering that education.
