Economics Club Virtual Event: African American History Month Primer

Join us for the January Economics Club breakfast for a primer on African American history month by discussing challenges, successes, and the economic impact of African American business owners and leaders.
 
Rosalyn McPherson, President and CEO of The Roz Group, will share current and historical trends and statistics about African American owned businesses, earnings and equity, and diversity in executive leadership positions. She will also discuss how communities can drive economic growth through diversity and inclusiveness.
 
Michelle Wright, owner of Luxe and Mane, will talk about her experience as a small business owner in York, including her successes and hurdles she overcame. She will also offer tips and lessons learned for others looking to start their own small business.
 
Bryan Wade, Executive Producer and CEO of the Keystone Oral Histories Project, will discuss the scope of his documentary series, including the recently completed chapter on The African American Military Experience, York County that looks at the rich history of African Americans serving our country and the dynamic impact they had in our community.
  
Following the program will be a Q&A session open to all attendees.
