Description
The YoCo Strong Restart program was created after the York County Commissioners voted to allocate a portion of the $40.5 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to support a small business and nonprofit organization grant program. The YoCo Strong Restart program will be administered by a partnership with the York County Economic Alliance and Community First Fund.
The County will dedicate $10 million for small business support, and $4 million for nonprofit support. Grant amounts will range from $10,000 and $35,000 to eligible organizations negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In preparation for the application to open for small businesses and nonprofits, our August 19 Business Series Workshop will present the facets of applying for funding as a business owner. This session will go over the guidelines and paperwork often required when filing for business funding to assist our most vulnerable populations and those in most need of this financial support.
Join us virtually on August 19, 8:30-9:30 a.m. for a presentation by Silas Chamberlin, Vice President of Economic & Community Development at the York County Economic Alliance.
Following the presentation, a Q&A session with Silas will follow. Before attending this session, we encourage you to review the information on www.YoCoStrong.org.
