Understanding our community and working together to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment is vital to the success of Downtown York and its businesses. At this workshop, Melissa Plotkin, Penn State Health's Project Manager for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, will present on how you can better understand and value the diversity within our community so that you can enhance your business's success as well as to help create a more welcoming community for all. Learn best practices to help you connect with your customers in a meaningful way and create unique experiences that foster more support and loyalty for your business.
Melissa has spent her 25+ year career in nonprofit and government. Most recently she served as the Director of the York Jewish Community's I.D.E.A.S. Center, an award-winning hub for diversity and inclusion information, training and resources.
