Each year, Downtown Inc recognizes businesses, organizations and individuals who have made a difference in Downtown York through their commitments of time, advocacy and resources at the Downtown First Awards. Join us in acknowledging the dedication and hard work that make our downtown a better place. Let’s honor those who light up our city with their passion and commitment!

Registration and doors open at 5:30pm with our program kicking off at 6pm!

Award Categories:

Downtown Revitalization – awarded to a business/nonprofit/in dividual who rehabs a project or a merchant who revitalizes a space.

Historically Edgy Destination – given to a retail business, individual or initiative that actively promotes Downtown York as a vibrant destination and celebrates the unique character of Downtown.

Downtown Champion – open to an outstanding individual, business or organization who has been a great ambassador for York

Flavors of Downtown – recognizing restaurant or eatery

Cultural Catalyst – retailer, gallery, artist, musician, or cultural event that inspires creativity and growth

Collaborative Impact – for an organization, small business, or downtown event that has driven meaningful change through collaboration with merchants & nonprofit organizations

Small Business, Big Impact Award – reflects the significant impact a micro-business can have on the local culture and community.
