York Cosplay! Workshops for Teens Start September 6

YORK, PA – York County Libraries have announced the upcoming York Cosplay! workshop and open studio series for teens. Open to York County youth, ages 12 to 18, presenters guide participants through the various facets of cosplay from selecting a character and creating the look to posing in character. The monthly series will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays, September 6, October 4, and November 1 at Martin Library in York. They will be held in the library’s second floor Teens space.
According to York County Libraries Director of Youth Services Mindy McDonnell, the program aims to help teens build new skills, creativity, and self-confidence. York Cosplay! includes all fandoms such as comics, anime, manga, role-playing games, television series, books, and movies.
The workshop and open studio series will lead up to YCL’s York Cosplay! Teen Fashion Show on Saturday, December 13 during the annual York Cosplay! Con. Teens interested in signing up for the series should register online using the yorklibraries.org events calendar.
