York College Celebrates 500+ Graduates in Saturday Commencement Ceremonies

York College of Pennsylvania will honor 505 graduates at its Spring 2025

Commencement on Saturday, May 17. The ceremonies will be held in the M&T Bank Field

House at the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center.

This year’s graduates include 458 undergraduate students and 47 graduate students.

Pennsylvania Attorney General David W. Sunday will deliver the Commencement Address.

“We are deeply proud of the Class of 2025,

” said Dr. Thomas Burns, President of York College.

“Commencement is always a powerful reminder of the talent and determination of our students.

It is a joy to celebrate their accomplishments and to send them into the world prepared to lead,

serve, and thrive.

The morning ceremony will begin at 9:15 a.m., with doors opening at 8:15 a.m. This ceremony

will recognize graduates from the School of the Arts, Communication and Global Studies, the

School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, and the Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences

and Technology. Senior Class President Kassandra Morgan, a Criminal Justice and Criminology

major, will deliver the student address.

The afternoon ceremony will begin at 3:15 p.m., with doors opening at 2:15 p.m. This ceremony

will include graduates from the Graham School of Business, the Dr. Donald E. and Lois J.

Meyers School of Nursing and Health Professions, and recipients of associate degrees. Senior

Class Vice President Vandelyn Brown, a Healthcare Administration major, will serve as the

student speaker.

After each ceremony, graduates and their families are encouraged to take photos across

campus, including at the iconic Ol’ Spart, affectionately known as "the Rock.

beloved tradition, graduates sign Ol’ Spart to commemorate their time at York College.

” Dr. Burns

added.

“We are excited to see how our graduates will make their mark on their professions and

communities.
