Hotels Host a Grand Reopening Ceremony to Mark Completion of the
$3.5 Million Upgrades
York, PA – (May 2, 2024) – High Hotels Ltd., a division of the High ® companies based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, proudly announces the completion of an extensive renovation of the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton York South and the Home2 Suites by Hilton York located at the Queen Street Exit off I-83. The $3.5-million upgrade included a complete redesign of the interior and exterior of both hotels and was unveiled to the public at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Casey Nixon, Manager, Membership and Events of the York County Economic Alliance, Vaughn Crouse, Community Engagement Coordinator of Explore York, Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill, President Commissioner Julie Wheeler, Commissioner Doug Hoke, and Vice President Commissioner Scott Burford were on hand to cut the ribbon in honor of the stunning new designs. Students from the Hospitality and Tourism Program at York College were also recognized at the ceremony for their role in promoting the renovations as part of a course curriculum project partnership. Additionally, Steven Martinez, Executive Director of the York County SPCA, accepted a $1,000 donation from High Hotels to reflect the company’s long-standing commitment to giving back to their communities and to support the start of this year’s Give Local York. Event attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, entertainment, and tours of both hotels.

The 100-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton York South renovation features a fresh, modern lobby design with comfortable new seating areas, flooring, wall vinyl, lighting, and artwork. The front desk, Treat Shop, and complimentary daily breakfast area were redesigned, creating a welcoming ambiance for travelers. Enhancements were also made to the indoor pool; the fitness room complete with a Peloton® bike, and meeting room that accommodates up to 45 people.
The revamped guestrooms and suites at the Hampton Inn & Suites have been completely updated and boast stylish new carpeting, wall vinyl and plush bedding. Each guestroom features a work desk, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and a 50” smart TV.
The 107-suite Home2 Suites now showcases the brand’s latest interior design concept and includes new soft seating, furnishings, and eye-catching décor that carries through to the breakfast area. New design elements can also be seen in the outdoor patio fire pit and grill area, the indoor pool, and the fitness room. Ideal for longer stays, the Home2 Suites provides complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a laundry room, and Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items.
Every studio suite and one-bedroom suite at Home2 Suites has been completely updated with stylish enhancements to the seating, carpeting, and wall vinyl, giving each room a fresh, new appearance. Each spacious suite features a full kitchen and a flexible working/media area and separate living and bedroom space.
