Leadership York Launches CONNECT Program, Applications Now Open for Fall 2026 Cohort
 
Leadership York is proud to announce the launch of CONNECT: Training Leaders for Youth Success, a new leadership and professional development program designed to equip educators and youth-serving professionals with the tools, perspective, and leadership skills needed to support today’s youth.
 
CONNECT was created for professionals who work with and for children, including educators, administrators, counselors, caseworkers, and youth-serving staff. Through reflection, collaboration, and practical leadership development, participants will strengthen their ability to lead with empathy, purpose, and real-world understanding.
 
“Today’s youth face a rapidly changing world, and the professionals who guide and support them need opportunities to grow as leaders as well,” said Wilda Reahm, Executive Director of Leadership York. “CONNECT is designed to help participants better understand the youth they serve. Research continues to show that when young people feel seen, heard, and understood, they are more likely to succeed both academically and personally.”
 
Applications are now officially open for the inaugural Fall 2026 cohort, which will begin in September 2026.
 
Eligible participants may also earn Act 45 and Act 48 credits through the program.

Leadership York’s mission is to train, connect, and inspire individuals to serve the York community in leadership positions. The organization was founded in 1978 and boasts just under 4,800 graduates from its seven programs.
