New Partnership: York College, local candy icon team up
York College Career Academy has a new partner with longtime York County candy icon Wolfgang Confectioners.
York College Career Academy is an initiative designed to equip students, professionals, and community members with job-ready skills in high-needs areas like information technology, project management, and business office support, a leading global online learning platform. Wolfgang Confectioners entered a new partnership with York College of Pennsylvania that will provide online access to the Career Academy for their employees to continue their training and advancement.
Wolfgang Confectioners is encouraging employees to select courses that align with their current roles, as well as courses that will help tailor their growth within the company.
“By participating in the Career Academy, our employees will have an opportunity to learn new skills through an accessible and flexible platform meeting them where they are in terms of career development and life responsibilities,” Sam Miller, Wolfgang Confectioners CEO, and a 2007 York College MBA graduate, said. “We trust our employees will not only learn tangible skills applicable to their professional lives but also gain confidence in themselves by returning to the classroom in a non-traditional, flexible learning environment.”
