Downtown Inc's Celebrates Earth Day with Two Upcoming Events

Downtown Inc has two upcoming events celebrating Earth Day.

Downtown Inc’s Community Clean Up: Downtown Inc will be hosting a Downtown Spring Cleaning on April 26 from 1–3pm. This clean-up is in anticipation of events around Downtown York including Downtown Inc’s annual signature event, Go Green in the City on North and South Beaver Street on April 27, and Earth Day which occurred this past Monday, April 22.

This event is made possible thanks to funds from Kindness Week Worldwide to further raise awareness for their mission. Volunteers from several York County businesses along with ambassadors and team members of Downtown Inc and York County Economic Alliance will work in coordination with the ABM Downtown Clean-Up Crew to do litter clean-up, graffiti/tag removal, and general tidying of public spaces.

Go Green in the City: Entering its 16th year, Go Green in the City, presented by UPMC, will take place in Downtown York on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10am-3pm. This fun, family-friendly festival celebrates green, healthy, and local living and will feature more than 70 vendors, live music, food, children’s activities and much more.

Go Green in the City has drawn more than 6,500 attendees during past events, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the festival on North and South Beaver Street!  Go Green in the City offers fun for the whole family! Kids can enjoy endless fun in the Kids' Zone on South Beaver Street sponsored by York County Solid Waste Authority, green-friendly eats can be found in the Food Court sponsored Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union, and live entertainment will play all day thanks to our Stage Sponsor, BMS Cat.
