Located at 3070 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, the Groundbreaking will take place Saturday, December 7 at 11:00am. 


A message from the team at Wagner-Elfner & Burg Funeral Home:
Katharine Wagner-Elfner and her husband, Nathan Elfner, of Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., acquired the former Burg Funeral Home in May 2023, continuing the legacy of a business that has served the community from its current location for nearly a century. Soon, the funeral home will enter a new chapter with the construction of a modern facility, designed to better serve the evolving needs of families. Groundbreaking for the new location is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at 3070 Cape Horn Road in Red Lion. Donuts and coffee will be served beginning at 10:30 am.
 
The new facility will span 12,000 square feet, offering a thoughtfully designed space to provide both comfort and convenience to the families they serve. It will feature 154 parking spaces to accommodate guests and a range of specialized areas, including a cutting-edge preparation room, walk-in refrigeration, two arrangement rooms, a selection room, and a wash bay for funeral vehicles. Additionally, the building will include a formal chapel for larger services and a smaller viewing room, ensuring a welcoming environment for families of all sizes and backgrounds.
 
Drawing on her experience working at the former Burg Funeral Home and now as the owner, Katharine has observed the changing needs of families in the community. She is committed to creating a facility that not only meets the evolving demands of the funeral industry but also supports the funeral home’s continued growth and ability to serve future generations.
