About Us

At Greater York Dance, we are about connecting the arts and our community. We believe that the arts create happy lives, and our hope is to share the joy and the beauty throughout the ever-growing City of York and the entire Pennsylvania midstate.

Our mission is to provide positive, healthy and enriching ''danceexperiences'' to the people of the South Central PA region. Students of all levels, ages and abilities may choose programs of interest according to their dance priority with no regard to their ability to pay. Captivating audiences through performances and dedicated outreach activities promote a lifelong enjoyment of dance and the arts.

Founded in 1971, we have been acknowledge many times in our community such as winning BEST OF YORK COUNTY Dance School every year, receiving the KEY TO THE CITY OF YORK three times, proclamations by the Mayor, Creative Impact Award for the Hip Nut and bringing Ballet to the Appell Center with a live symphony orchestra, grants awarded by prestigious organizations such as the Cultural Alliance of York County, and most importantly being the home for many happy, successful students!
