We hope you can join the YCEA in celebrating the grand opening and open house of Believers Early Learning Center (BELC).
 
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 28 at 5:00 PM at 37 Pennsylvania Ave, York Haven, PA 17370.
 
A message from Believers Early Learning Center (BELC):
 
Believers Early Learning Center (BELC) is a faith-based early childhood education center committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and academically enriching environment for children and families in the York Haven community.
 
The vision for BELC grew out of our experience operating a community learning center and working directly with school-aged children. During that time, our founder, Pastor Matthew Castillo, saw firsthand how many children were struggling with basic reading skills. That experience revealed the severity of the literacy crisis affecting children in our community and across the nation.
 
It also became clear that addressing this crisis cannot begin only after children have fallen behind. One of the most effective ways to improve literacy is to introduce children to the foundational principles of reading before they enter elementary school. BELC was created to help children develop phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for learning so they are better prepared when they enter kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.
 
Through early literacy instruction, STEM exploration, character development, and a biblical worldview, BELC is helping children build the skills, confidence, and foundation they need to succeed in school and throughout their lives.
 
More than a childcare center, BELC was created to strengthen families, support working parents, create local employment opportunities, and contribute to the continued growth of the surrounding community. We invite community leaders, business owners, families, and partners throughout York County to attend our Open House and Grand Opening, tour the facility, meet our team, and learn more about the vision and mission of BELC.
