DESCRIPTION:We hope you can join the YCEA in celebrating the Affordable Housing Advocates' groundbreaking ceremony for a new home construction in York City at 254-256 South Queen Street\, York PA 17401.\n\n\n\nThe Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place Thursday\, November 30th at 11:30am. \n\n\n\nA message from Affordable Housing Advocates:\n\nAffordable Housing Advocates (AHA) will be holding a groundbreaking event for a new home in the City of York\, November 30 2023 at 8:30 AM. The York County Economic Alliance will begin with an official ribbon cutting before we put shovels to the ground. Through a public-private partnership\, the lot located at 254-256 South Queen Street\, was purchased from the City of York's Redevelopment Authority. AHA was able to procure funds from City of York's HOME funds. Construction will commence once the permits have been secured. AHA is creating a three-bedroom\, one and a half-bathroom\, homeownership opportunity that will benefit a household at or below 80% of the area's median income level.\n\n\n\n"Through HUD's HOME program\, this home will enable a family (with income at or below 80% of the area median income) to have a homeownership opportunity that is affordable\, while also providing stability and pride for the neighborhood." -Joyce Santiago\, Executive Director/President\n\n\n\nAffordable Housing Advocates (AHA) is one of the first nonprofit housing development corporations in York County. AHA is recognized as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) that focuses on developing affordable homeownership and rental opportunities for low-moderate income households.
