YORK YMCA TURKEY TROT TO RETURN FOR 26th YEAR
 
[York, PA] – The YMCA of the Roses is holding its 26th Annual York YMCA Turkey Trot at the York Branch YMCA, 90 North Newberry Street, York, PA 17401, on Thanksgiving Day, 11/24, at 9 am or virtually!
 
Registration is $30 and includes a bright pink long-sleeve athletic shirt. Referral and team options available! Participants can go to turkey.rosesymca.org to register.
 
About 5,000 people will come out to complete the 5K course and support the YMCA’s community health work, which includes the following.
 

  • Individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their caregivers learn how to prevent and live with the crippling conditions through nationally recognized education programs
  • Cancer survivors regain their physical, mental, and emotional health after their treatments in our free support program, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
  • Children grow into healthy adults by participating in our family-based lifestyle change program, Healthy Weight Your Child
  • Adults at risk of getting diabetes increase their chances of avoiding the disease through our year-long CDC-approved Diabetes Prevention Program
  • People with hypertension have the knowledge and resources to monitor their heart health during our 16-week Blood Pressure Self Monitoring program
  • Parkinson’s patients find a community of rabid fans and ways to stay active, no matter their symptoms, in our Partners in Progress initiative
