Earlier today, Governor Wolf announced York County will advance to the Yellow Phase of Reopening, in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, beginning May 22. To aid our community in navigating this new phase, the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA) announces a page on the PreparedYork.com resource site.

This “Reopening York County” page breaks down the guidelines of the yellow phase of recovery, as well as provides business reopening toolkits, social distancing regulations, marketing materials, and links to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to reopen. The site is available in Spanish and a multitude of other languages.

“We launched the PreparedYork.com website to be a hub of resources for all members of our community,” said Kevin Schreiber, president and CEO of the YCEA. “Since the launch two months ago, this site and our efforts continue to evolve as we progress together through this crisis.” This new page also includes information on the York County Commissioners YoCo Strong Recovery Task Force, and our team will continue to populate it with new sources of information as they become available.”

Features of the Reopening York County Page:

As York County moves into the Yellow Phase, some restrictions on work and social interactions will ease. Other will remain in place, including the closures of schools, gyms and other indoor recreations, as well as hair and nail salons. There is a continued limitation on large gatherings.

“The purpose of this Yellow Phase is to begin powering back up the economy, while keeping a close eye on the public health data, to ensure the spread of disease remains contained to the greatest extent possible,” added Schreiber.
