York County Libraries Launch Photo Challenge
Every Friday, York County Libraries will re-post the three pictures with the most Facebook shares and Instagram likes and open voting for the best picture of the week. The top photo of each week will be one of three competing finalists on yorklibraries.org the last week of June. Community members are invited to cast their votes for their favorite pictures for $1 per vote during the final week. All proceeds will go to the York County Libraries Imagine. Discover. Connect. capital campaign. The finalist with the top number of votes will win a 10-pack of tickets to the York Revolution 1741 Club.
“Our staff wanted a fun way to let community members know that our libraries need their help to expand and renovate,” says York County Libraries President Robert F. Lambert. “We are raising money to transform Martin Library, Kreutz Creek Library and Kaltreider-Benfer Library into state-of-the art library facilities.” All three libraries will feature dedicated space for children and teens, open service areas, and additional technology. Residents wanting to learn more about the projects can go to campaign.yorklibraries.org.
June marks the final month of the public phase of the capital campaign. “The clock is now ticking, and we are working to reach our $5 million community goal. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help get us there,” says Lambert. “Every vote, every dollar counts!”
