Six York County government offices will relocate, opening for business at 2401 Pleasant Valley Road in Springettsbury Township on Monday, Jan. 27.
York County Conservation District, Weights & Measures, Center for Traffic Safety, Penn State Extension, Ag Land Preservation and Veterans Affairs will move to the building that previously housed Graham Packaging. The county’s Veterans Affairs office will be relocating from the York County Administrative Center in downtown York. The other offices are relocating from the Annex.
York County at Pleasant Valley Road, as the new building is officially titled, is being leased by the county with a timetable for eventual ownership. Veterans Affairs is a natural fit for this new building with its parking amenities for veterans who will no longer require an elevator or stairs to confer with an accredited service officer.
Phone numbers are not changing for any of the relocating departments.
This new building provides a visible location near Route 30, easy accessibility and an abundance of free parking.
The county will soon begin consideration of phase two of the move, which will bring more county offices to Pleasant Valley Road in an attempt to alleviate overcrowding in the county’s downtown buildings.
