About the YMCA Southern Community Services

Southern Community Services (SCS) is a United Way funded program that provides essential social and support services to low and moderate income residents of southern York County living in the Southern, Southeastern, Dallastown, and Red Lion School Districts.

For more than 30 years, SCS has assisted residents to overcome barriers and achieve a greater level of independence by educating individuals in financial literacy, supporting the application process for various government programs, and offering limited direct financial assistance. The program also assists families in crisis through life management programs like the food distribution, back-to-school and holiday programs.
