Wagman Receives HCCA Infrastructure Award for Route 7 Project
This $42M project, located in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County, Va., improved the existing substandard twin bridges carrying Route 7 over the Dulles Toll Road (DTR) and Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH). Each bridge carried two lanes of through traffic, one auxiliary lane, and a concrete sidewalk. The bridges were widened, raised, and lengthened to accommodate an additional lane in each direction, auxiliary/turn lanes, a 14-foot shared use path on each side, and to account for future collector-distributor lanes under the end spans along the DTR.
Greg Andricos, president of Wagman Heavy Civil, comments, “Wagman Heavy Civil was thrilled to be recognized by our industry peers at HCCA with this prestigious infrastructure award. We were happy to accept with our design-build partners; RDA, WRA, and Portico Services, LLC on behalf of VDOT and the other stakeholder involved in the successful delivery of this multi-faceted fast track project.”
