The YMCA of York and York County is excited to announce UPMC Pinnacle as one of the presenting sponsors for the 2019 LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Golf and Gala.
“We’re excited to partner with UPMC for this exciting event for an amazing cause,” said Larry Richardson, Executive Director, YMCA of York and York County. “Generous supporters like them make our work possible and we can’t thank them enough.”
The annual golf event, hosted at the Hanover Country Club on September 27, combines a day of golf followed by a Golf Awards dinner. Each year, 100+ individual golfers hit the course, playing for a variety of contests throughout the event.
The LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Gala will be held at the Wyndham Garden York on October 19. During this event, attendees come together to hear testimonials from survivors of cancer, enjoy a keynote speaker, eat dinner, did in a silent/live auction, listen to music, and dance the night away. Last year, the over 300 guests attended the event, raising over $80,000 to bring life-changing programs to survivors of cancer free of charge.
Since 2007, LIVESTRONG Foundation has collaborated with the YMCA of the USA to create LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a 12-week physical activity program designed to get survivors back on their feet.
