Shawn M. Long Confirmed to Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas
Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Shawn M. Long was recently confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate to fill a judicial vacancy on the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. Shawn was unanimously recommended by the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee to fill the vacancy.
“Shawn’s leadership skills and commitment to service in his personal and professional life will fit perfectly in his new role as a Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Judge,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “We will miss Shawn as a friend and as a colleague at Barley Snyder, but we are pleased that one of our partners has been honored with this appointment.”
Prior to joining Barley Snyder, Long spent six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a counselor in York County’s juvenile justice system. At Barley Snyder, Long focused his law practice on creditor’s rights, litigation, and real estate.
Long earned his B.S. at York College of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude. He earned his J.D. at the Dickinson School of Law where he was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society. In 2021 he was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law by Best Lawyers in America.
