PeoplesBank Supports YMCA’s Community Development Work
[Lancaster & York, PA] – PeoplesBank recently donated $50,000 to the Y Community Development Corporation, which is part of the YMCA of the Roses’ community development work to lift up local neighborhoods through projects ranging from establishing affordable housing to improving public safety infrastructure.
PeoplesBank is a key partner of the Y Community Development Corporation and the YMCA, with this year being the fourth year of a five-year commitment in the state’s Neighborhood Assistance Program. Thanks to them and the other contributors, millions of dollars have gone towards improving the quality of life of thousands of individuals, youths, and families.
The YMCA and its partners have successfully…

  • Revamped blighted properties into low-income housing
  • Installed and maintained streetlights
  • Implemented security camera systems, which have been used to assist law enforcement
  • Maintained the appearance of local neighborhoods through façade improvements and ongoing street sweeping efforts
