Nominate York Builders for the PEAK Award for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

Do you work with a homebuilder constructing the most energy-efficient homes in the York region? 
 
Encourage them to enter a nomination for this year’s PEAK Award for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability.
 
This spring, Pennsylvania building codes will require all new construction to be 25% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2009 standards. 
 
If you know of a homebuilder who is already ahead of the curve, let them know that PEAK Award entries must be submitted by Monday, March 18.

Applicants must submit a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) report for each nominated property and must demonstrate extraordinary energy efficiency features — at minimum, modeled energy savings of 15 percent over the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code.® 
 
To submit an entry, complete the registration formand payment no later than March 18, 2018.Candidates are requested to submit before and after photos. A HERS report can be uploaded when submitting project photos.

Builders who meet and exceed Pennsylvania’s new energy code can also qualify for financial incentives from FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania utilities (Met-Ed, Penelec, Penn Power and West Penn Power).
