Office space available for rent to nonprofit tenant
GETTYSBURG, PA: Adams Electric Cooperative is dedicated to Cooperative Principle No. 7: Concern for Community as it’s been our mission for 80 years to help “improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.”
The cooperative currently has up to 2,400 square feet of unused office space available at our York District location, 200 Trinity Road. The space could be renovated to fit the needs of one or more organizations and offers the possibility for use of the co-op’s meeting space, a community room, and kitchenette inside the existing building.
Adams has a similar rental agreement for the use of office space at its Gettysburg District location. Since 2014, The Chamber, which serves Gettysburg and Adams County, has rented space from the cooperative. A six-year lease agreement was written and signed, and the rent charged is just enough to cover renovation costs and recover average utilities. A new 5-year lease begins in January.
It would be ideal for our co-op to work with a nonprofit organization in our York District, too. There’s no cost to our membership, and the community receives the benefits of having a nonprofit locally available in a space that’s conducive to the work and needs of the organization.
The York location was most recently leased by Keystone Development Center (KDC) which works to provide technical assistance to emerging, startup and established cooperatives and businesses throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
The office space is available immediately for a nonprofit to put down roots in our York community. If you’d like to see the space or inquire about the location, please call the cooperative at 1-800-726-2324.
