Mentorship York kicked off on January 15 with seven participants. The ideal candidates are those who have articulated professional and civic accomplishments, goals, and are looking to step up to significant community impact.
This program accelerates successful leaders to step up to significant community impact through servant leadership and connections. Personal growth is facilitated through (1) a one-on-one match between the Mentorship York participant and a seasoned community leader and (2) monthly group conversations with a mentor and all mentees. Mentorship York serves as community succession planning for York, as it fills a community leadership generational gap and aids in the transfer of knowledge between generations. Mentorship York runs on a calendar year.
Leadership York’s mission is to train, connect, and inspire individuals to serve the York community in leadership positions. The organization was founded in 1978 and boasts just under 3,700 graduates from its six programs. Those graduates provide leadership to over 250 nonprofit organizations and serve thousands of constituents in state and local government. Leadership York is the primary resource for developing inspired leadership for our changing community. For more information, visit leadershipyork.org.
