April 26, 2019
The second annual Give Local York day of giving will be held on Friday, May 3rd.  Last year's event turned into a community-wide celebration that helped hundreds of nonprofit organizations serving York County including libraries.  “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of community members who donated and came out to show their support at library activities,” says York County Libraries Development Director Janine Pflaum. “Donations made during this 24-hour day of giving helps our libraries provide essential programs and services for community members of all ages.”  Last year alone, York County Libraries hosted 1.5 million visitors and provided 4,800 free programs for children, teens and adults.
