LEADERSHIP YORK WELCOMES NEW FUTURE LEADERS OF YORK PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Leadership York is pleased to welcome Kathy Deisley as the new Future Leaders of York (FLY) Program Coordinator. Kathy is responsible for the planning, coor­dination, and implementation of the Future Leaders of York (FLY) program.

Kathy has worked in public education for thirty years in a variety of positions including middle school and high school English teacher, gifted support teacher, supervisor of staff development and federal programs, supervisor of secondary English Language Arts, and Supervisor of Secondary Curriculum.  She holds a BS.Ed and M.Ed from Penn State University and has earned K-12 principal, English department supervisor, and K-12 curriculum supervisor certifications through Millersville University.  To serve the community, Kathy is on the board of the Kaltreider-Benfer library in Red Lion. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing tennis.

Leadership York’s mission is to train, connect, and inspire individuals to serve the York community in leadership positions. The organization was founded in 1978 and boasts over 4,200 graduates from its six programs. Those graduates provide leadership to more than 250 nonprofit organizations and serve thousands of constituents in state and local government.
