Fulton Bank Creates Stable Communities with Donation to YCDC
Fulton Bank’s donation will elevate the west end of York City so that all individuals and families in the area can live healthy, peaceful, and productive lives. Past projects include implementing safety measures, such as installing streetlights and cameras, and fixing run-down homes, ultimately attracting new and productive residents into the neighborhoods.
This contribution is part of Fulton Bank’s second 5-year $250,000 commitment to YCDC’s work. With Fulton Bank’s support, YCDC plans to purchase a street sweeper to keep the surrounding neighborhood clean and to continue renovating blighted properties to make homes for the community’s residents.
The Y Community Development Corporation (YCDC) is the community development arm of the YMCA of York and York County. Its mission is to assist in the development of projects, studies, and other activities in cooperation and in coordination with local governmental and civic bodies for the elimination of slums, blight, and blighting influences, and to aid and assist the planning, development, and improvement of the city of York.
