Drop-In Program at Nixon Park – Mammal Fur and Skulls

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a Mammal Fur and Skulls Drop-In program on the following dates at the Nixon County Park Nature Center:  Saturday and Sunday, February 2-3, 2019.  Drop-in programs are perfect for busy families!  Drop-in at any time during the program and stay for as long as you like! Hours for this program are Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, Noon – 4:00 p.m. 
 
Test your mammal knowledge as you compare skulls & furs of different North American mammals.  Compare the skulls of predators and prey.  Compare the furs of land and water animals.  Learn which mammals are active in PA all winter and how their fur helps them survive.  Great opportunity for artists to sketch still lifes.  Come during any part of the program & stay for as long or as short as you want. 
 
No fee, no registration required.
