Downtown Inc Joining York Revolution To Celebrate Grand Re-Opening

WHAT: Downtown Inc will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the York Revolution’s Grand Re-Opening for the 2019 season.
WHEN: 5 p.m., Friday, April 26
WHERE: 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York, PA 17401
DETAILS: The York Revolution return for their 13th season on Friday, and they’re billing Opening Day as their Grand Re-Opening. This year, PeoplesBank Park boasts a renovated skybox level and a new infield playing surface. The York Revolution are also celebrating the launch of their new locally owned hospitality company, Revolution Hospitality, as well as other in-park changes. Plus, Brooks Robinson Plaza is now the home of a new Downtown York-branded sign that will become the go-to photo backdrop in Historically Edgy Downtown York.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the York Revolution have an action-packed weekend of baseball planned:
  • Opening Day is Friday! Support the Revs as they open the season with a three-game series against the Long Island Ducks. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday will feature a Negro League Tribute with a York Monarchs Jersey Auction presented by PeoplesBank to benefit the Goodridge Freedom Center. Plus, post-game fireworks. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • The weekend series against Long Island finishes with Sunday Family Funday presented by Weis Markets, featuring pre-game autographs, catch on the field sessions, post-game kids run the bases and Central PA Heroes Appearances. Plus, fans’ four-legged friends will love Bark in the Park presented by East York Veterinary Center. The game starts at 1 p.m.
