Dover Township Press Release

The Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the individuals, the community and the businesses that have shown so much respect and support with regards to the passing and the services that honored Dover Township, Station 9 Fire Chief Brian Widmayer.
The local communities and businesses lined the streets of Dover Township, exhibiting gratitude and admiration, as Chief Widmayer was taken to his final resting place.
It is with the utmost sincerity and regard that the Dover Township Board of Supervisors thanks the companies that covered the Dover Township service area this past Friday through Sunday.  Specifically, Union Fire Company of Dover, West Manchester Township, Manchester Township, York United Fire Company, Progress Rescue Engine from Dauphin County, Colonial Park Engine from Dauphin County and Wrightsville Rescue Engine from York County; we appreciate you uniting to offer your time and contribution.
Thank you to all of the Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department firefighters, personnel and members who made Chief Widmayer’s services and funeral noble and honorable.
Dover Township and the Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department is embedded within community and service.  Chief Widmayer was a steward of the highest service to his fellow firefighters and to the Dover community.
