The group has worked with more than 100 orchestras in venues throughout North America and created almost 1,000 original rock and pop orchestrations, which have been presented across 45 unique and exciting productions.

“We are bringing long-time symphony fans and lovers of legendary rock together for an incredible evening featuring amazingly talented musicians and exciting performances,” said Lawrence Golan, Music Director of the York Symphony Orchestra. “This evening of iconic rock classics, featuring Jeans N’ Classics as well as guest conductor Chelsea Tipton II, will give audience members an unforgettable, live performance filled with expertise and finesse.”

He has appeared with numerous major orchestras, and his performance with the Brooklyn Philharmonic was applauded by The New York Times which credited him for ‘‘leading sweeping and vibrant performances of ‘Rhapsody’ and ‘An American in Paris.”

A highlight of his career, in 2011, Tipton was chosen to accompany the pop artist Sting on an extensive European tour covering 15 countries. Through this experience, he worked with 19 different European orchestras to prepare the musicians for concerts. In addition to this role, Tipton also performed with Sting in concert in the Canary Islands, Granada, and Cap Roig, Spain.

“Music has a way of bringing people together and it has been my mission to share music with the world,” said Tipton. “I’m looking forward to performing with the York Symphony Orchestra in February and experiencing not only the orchestra but also the local community.”
