CGA Hires 4 New Attorneys
Jasmine N. Butler is currently focusing her practice in Real Estate, Business, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Municipal Law, although she also has experience in various other practice areas. Jasmine completed her Juris Doctorate at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2019.
During law school, Jasmine served as a Clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Christopher C. Conner of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and as a Certified Legal Intern at the Central Pennsylvania Civil Law Clinics. She was the Diversity Forum Editor of the Widener Commonwealth Law Review and vice president of the Black Law Students Association and Public Interest Law Society. She also served as a Widener Student Ambassador, interacting with prospective students and preparing for accepted applicant and high school student events.
Jasmine is a dedicated steward to her community who volunteers in many capacities. She was a Summer Associate when the CGA Shareholders voted unanimously to offer her a full-time position on the legal team.
Beth J. Kern
Beth Kern provides legal services to Municipal, Business, Litigation, and Labor and Employment Law clients. She has over twelve years of professional experience, including nearly eight years as a Human Resource Professional at Flagger Force®, a rapidly growing multi-state traffic control company. Beth has Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) from HRCI and is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
Last year, Beth completed her Juris Doctorate from Widener University Commonwealth Law School as an evening division student while working full-time at Flagger Force®. At Widener, she was an executive committee member for numerous honor and law societies and participated on various advocacy teams. Beth was involved in a municipal law practical experience course to gain insight into municipal government and local ordinance drafting. She also served as an Academic Support Fellow in the Civil Procedure area for a term and Interned as a Certified Legal Intern at the Dauphin County District Attorney's office for two semesters.

Dan Fennick has joined CGA Law Firm in an “of counsel” position. Before CGA, Dan spent nearly forty years as a partner at Anderson, Converse and Fennick, a firm he founded in 1981. He specialized in education law, particularly special education for children with disabilities and charter schools, but also included family law, estate planning, wills and trusts, contract drafting and interpretation, litigation, and mediation.
For the past four decades, Dan has represented children with disabilities and filed civil rights appeals in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also represented many charter schools in Pennsylvania, for whom he has drafted special education policies, run meetings, and represented the schools in due process hearings and before the Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee.
Dan has taught many continuing education courses to other attorneys and is frequently contacted by the media on education law matters. He is honored to have received many distinguished awards for his work.
Ron Perry has returned to CGA Law Firm as an “of counsel” attorney after nearly two decades as a named partner with the Law Firm of Katherman and Perry. For the last forty years, Ron has focused his practice on matters related to business, taxation, real estate, and estate planning, and has developed a reputation for providing clients with personalized attention and achieving results.
With a Master of Laws and Letters in Taxation by Temple University School of Law, Ron frequently advises individuals and companies struggling with state and federal tax law issues; guiding them through the regulatory process. He previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for York County and as Assistant Solicitor for the York County Tax Assessment Office.
Ron is an active member of the York County Bar Association, and has served on nonprofit boards such as the York County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Self Help Counseling, the York Literacy Council, and York County Junior Achievement. He is a long-standing member of the York County Estate Planning Council.
Ron is pleased to see so many CGA team members who have worked with the firm for decades.
