Barley Snyder Announces 2023 Leadership Changes

Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder has announced several changes to its internal governance committees.
On the firm’s management committee, which is responsible for the leadership of the firm and the achievement of its long-range goals, partner Kimberly J. Decker was elected to join the committee for a two-year term beginning January 2023. Decker, who served previously on the committee, replaces partner Donald R. Geiter who stepped down at the end of 2022 after four years of service. Kim will serve alongside incumbent members: Managing Partner Jeff Lobach and Partners Jennifer Craighead Carey, Paul W. Minnich and Troy B. Rider.

The firm’s Finance & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, long led by Geiter, has been reorganized into two different groups – the Creditors’ Rights Practice Group and the Finance practice – to better serve clients’ legal needs. Partner Eden R. Bucher has been named chair of the Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, focusing on foreclosures, collections, bankruptcy matters and more. Geiter will lead the Finance practice, handling the negotiation, documentation, and collateralization of loan transactions. In addition to his leadership of the Finance practice, Geiter remains active in the Creditors’ Rights group and as the chair of our Cybersecurity Service Team.

“We are thankful for our talented leadership team which guides our growing firm in pursuit of our strategic vision,” said Lobach. “We also can’t thank our leaders enough for their hard work and dedication that they selflessly pour into our firm. In this next chapter, I am confident that we will continue to work hard together providing the highest quality of service to our clients and showing respect for our valued team members.”
